Nicola offers a full interior design consultancy service. Her company R&R Designs Ltd (established 2001) has brought an excellence in design to many residential and commercial projects both in the UK and overseas.
PROFILE
Nicola was raised in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath where her appreciation for nature, architecture, balance and symmetry was apparent in her early creative years. Studying Textile Design her passion and knowledge for texture and colour blossomed and remains a consistent strength in every project she works on. She firmly believes that a delicate combination of design, natural materials and colour contributes to a wonderful and harmonious atmosphere which significantly enhances people's homes and lives.
For many years Nicola designed bespoke kitchens and bathrooms; her knowledge in this field is insurmountable not only from a design and space planning perspective but also as a keen cook herself. She believes simplicity and practicality comes first and foremost in every design project - "Less is more".
Nicola has travelled extensively around the world and has taken the finest influences from these experiences which combined with her love for architecture and nature, provides her clients with a rich knowledge and understanding of design and a caring quality rarely found.
SERVICES
Nicola welcomes all prospective clients both residential and commercial to an initial consultation. An appointment is made to assess the purpose and scale of the project, its feasibility, agenda and overall requirements. Every project is different and therefore an individual proposal is written for every client. Once the proposal is agreed the project is divided in to three phases:
- Concept Design
- Design Specification
- Implementation
Each and every step of the way Nicola communicates and meets with her clients regularly to ensure that all their requirements are being met.
To achieve successful results Nicola works closely with architects,contractors, artisans, craftsmen and has an extensive list of accounts with suppliers;
all of whom contribute their own expertise and unique qualities.
It is the sensitive combination of her skills and knowledge which result time and again in the creation of wonderful spaces in which to live and work.
